Coconut candies

These candies remind me of the famous Raffaello candies, although there is still a long way to go to find their identical taste. Until then, I leave you with this extremely simple recipe, for all coconut lovers, just like me. They don't end up on Raffaello candies, but they are something else, tasty and they end as you would say, I can guarantee you that!

150 g coconut + 3-4 tablespoons

1 can of condensed milk (397 g)

50 g peeled and fried almonds

Method of preparation:

Heat over low heat, condensed milk together with diced butter.

When the butter is melted, turn off the heat, add the coconut (I gave it through the grinder). Stir until smooth, leave to cool, then refrigerate for 1 hour. After this time, small balls are formed, in the middle of which a fried almond is inserted.

Raffaello candy simple recipe

Raffaello candy simple recipe. Homemade Raffaello candies with coconut, butter and other natural ingredients, a recipe explained step by step that can be followed by children, under the supervision of adults. The best Raffaello candies have come out! Creamy, fine, with coconut and butter taste and vanilla flavor. Dreamlike!

Candies Raffaello & # 8211 a new project Savori Urbane, together with the children from grades I-III of the Hungarian section of the General School & # 8222Aron Cotrus & # 8221, within the program & # 8222Saptamana altfel & # 8221.

I talked to the teacher about how we should make it more attractive this week to really be different. Besides a trip to the forest and other interesting activities, I booked my Friday to cook something with the children. Due to the fact that the program took place in a class, at school, I chose something without baking.

After making biscuit salami at & # 8222Summer School & # 8221, this time I opted for Raffaello candies. Here are the ones 7 variants of biscuit salami created by children.

If you like coconut, I recommend you try it too Raffaello cake & # 8211 recipe here.

Or Raffaello Cake with tender leaves and mascarpone cream & # 8211 see here.

I have tried several Raffaello candy recipes in the past. The one with mascarpone did not look at all like the original, the balls being soft, moist and too creamy. The one with condensed milk seemed heavy, slightly nauseous, extremely sweet, or butter rubbed with sugar, especially if it's made cold, it seemed to me the worst option of all. So is the one with melted white chocolate, which is extremely sweet. If we added pieces of broken wafer in the composition, they just softened, became rubberized and led to the disintegration of Raffaello balls.

About the filling: I decided to go for the original version, that is, whole almonds scalded and peeled from the brown skin. For 2 minutes of work it is not worth putting the peeled almonds.

From my previous experiments, my recipe was born, which, of all the variants, I like the most. I went for the idea homemade chocolate with milk powder, that stick loved since childhood.

Biscuit, banana and coconut balls - recipe

Method of preparation

Put the biscuits through the food processor or through the mincer.

If you do not have any of these devices, break the biscuits into pieces, put them in a bag and crush them with a rolling pin.

Pour the ground biscuits into a large bowl.

Bananas must be well cooked to use in this recipe.

Peel a squash, grate it and put it on a flat plate. With a fork, start passing them from one end to the other, one at a time.

Pass them until they become puree. If you want to feel their more accentuated taste in balls, you can also leave a few whole pieces.

Place the mashed bananas over the ground biscuits. Mix with a spoon, then with your hands.

You need to get a hull tied, soft as plasticine.

From the dough obtained, take a piece and shape it into balls or candies.

Finish the coconut balls to give them a more elegant look.

Put the balls in the fridge and let them cool for at least an hour. They will harden better and become more fragrant and sweeter.

They are an excellent snack between meals. They can also be taken as a package. Children can serve them instead of candy, chips or other unhealthy snacks from the market.

They are surprisingly good for a recipe with three common ingredients.

Instead of biscuits you can use ground oatmeal (or other cereals).

The balls can be given at the end with cocoa powder or carobs instead of coconut, or with various seeds (sesame, chia, hemp).

Other ingredients, such as ground nuts or hazelnuts, can be added to the composition for extra protein, raisins, cranberries, etc.

Glaze each ball with chocolate and place them on a baking sheet or on a grill, then let them cool to harden the chocolate.

After about an hour they are just good to enjoy. Enjoy!

Swedish candies with coconut - fasting

When you feel like something sweet, fast, but especially fasting, a portion of Swedish candies (or bombs, as they are also called), rolled in coconut, can get you out of the impasse. They are easy to make, suitable for any occasion and you can replace or add other ingredients you like.

For example, you can replace oatmeal with crushed biscuits. You can give up sugar and add honey or natural sweeteners if you want to turn them into a very suitable dessert for children.

  • 200 g of oatmeal
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cocoa
  • a pinch of salt
  • 130 ml coconut butter
  • 2 teaspoons coffee (espresso)
  • coconut flakes for decoration

Put the dry ingredients in a food processor and mix until they are crushed and homogenized.

Put everything in a large bowl and pour the melted coconut butter over and the 2 teaspoons of coffee. Mix everything well with a spatula, then by hand, to homogenize as well as possible and see the consistency.

It is good to pour the coconut oil gradually, to make sure that the composition does not come out too soft. In this case, you will have to thicken it with oatmeal or a few chopped biscuits.

Knead the candies by hand and roll them in coconut. Leave the candies for at least two hours before serving, so that the flavors combine and the oatmeal softens.

You have to see it too.

Candies & # 8222Raffaello & # 8221with coconut

Coconut adds flavor to cooked foods such as pies, cakes, soups and provides essential vitamins and minerals. Chopped coconut also contains 33 grams of fat and 40 grams of sugar per serving (1 cup), which significantly decreases the nutritional value of food. Even if you reap some nutritional benefits when you eat shredded coconut, it should not be part of your daily diet.

One serving (1 cup) of chopped coconut contains 2.68 grams of protein compared to the daily goal of 46 grams for women and 56 grams for men. Protein rebuilds cells and can help maintain healthy tissues and muscles. The same portion of chopped coconut provides 4.2 grams of dietary fiber.

Instead, coconut oil it is one of the healthiest foods on the planet. To date, there are over 1,500 studies that prove this. Its benefits include: natural treatment of Alzheimer's disease, prevention of cardiovascular disease and hypertension, cures urinary and liver infections, reduces inflammation, cures skin diseases (burns, dermatitis, eczema, dandruff) and boosts the immune system.

Furthermore, coconut oil contains lauric acid, which is known for its antibacterial and antifungal properties. Thus, it reduces candidiasis, fights bacteria, and creates a hostile environment for viruses. Many diseases today are caused by promoting the development of bad bacteria, fungi, viruses and parasites in the body.
