I made this soup for the first time because it was that recipe that was said to make you lose weight, yes, not me at all! But look, since then I liked it so much, that in winter I do it more often, and especially with fasting (I fast as I said, only on Wednesdays and Fridays, it's still better than nothing! :) now , it works, and with a hot pepper, you no longer need paracetamol to unclog your nose! :)

• 1 sour cabbage
• 2 potatoes
• 1 parsnip root
• 1 carrot
• 1 onion
• 2 tomatoes
• 500 ml of raw borscht or cabbage juice (dies)
• 1 tablespoon of oil
• 1 teaspoon of thyme

Method of preparation

If you use sauerkraut, leave it in the water in the evening to remove the intense salty taste. Wash and finely chop.

Put the oil and onion to harden in a large saucepan. Then add the cleaned carrots and parsnips and put on the grater with large holes.

After a few minutes, add the cabbage and diced potatoes. Add enough water to make a soup that is neither too thick nor too liquid.

Bring the cabbage soup to a boil. When it is almost ready, add the peeled and diced tomatoes and the raw borscht or cabbage juice. Let it simmer for another 1-2 minutes, then turn off the heat.

How do we prepare the recipe for Transylvanian cabbage soup with smoked meat?

  1. Put the oil in a saucepan. First add the smoke and stir continuously for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Then add the rest of the vegetables and, likewise, stir all the time for another 4-5 minutes.
  3. Add a pinch of dried hot pepper, but only if you like spicy food.
  4. Add water, about 1.5 liters of hot water.
  5. Put the lid on and let everything boil until the vegetables soften very well, it takes about 10 minutes.
  6. We add the cabbage that we cut finely and we make sure that everything is very well covered by the liquid.
  7. Put the lid on and let it boil, check after 10 minutes to see if the cabbage has softened. If not, let it boil, add more hot water, if necessary.
  8. Add the tomatoes in their own juice and a teaspoon of salt.
  9. Let everything boil and then check if we need to add more salt or not.
  10. I soured it with vinegar, I used 2-3 tablespoons, I added a little more salt. Let it boil for another 2-3 minutes, until the taste is uniform, then turn off the heat.
  11. Finally add a little finely chopped parsley and a little dried dill.

Transylvanian cabbage soup with smoked

The smoke is browned in oil, then set aside. Put the diced vegetables (onion, pepper, carrot, bleach) in the remaining fat and cook until soft. Add 1 tablespoon of flour and mix quickly, then quench with water. Fill with 2 liters of water, add the cabbage and let it boil until soft.

When the cabbage is cooked, add the tomatoes, salt, pepper, hot pepper and let it boil for about 10 minutes. Add a little vinegar.

Optionally it can be straightened with 2 yolks mixed with 200 g of sour cream. At the end, put the chopped greens on top.

This option is also delicious, but I avoid fried foods and make the first option.

Serve hot, along with sour cream and hot peppers.

Ever since I didn't cook a real soup, as my husband says, and because Dodo, the presenter of the show Buna dimineata Transilvania, mentioned ciolan, I put the bone to work and look, today I'm proposing a recipe for cabbage with smoked ciolan, only good after a tiring day of service.   • 1 bunch of vegetables (3 carrots + 2 parsley roots)
  • 1 onion
  • 250ml milk
  • 250ml broth
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 sprigs of thyme
  • 1 link green dill
  • salt, oil

Cut the stalk into pieces and boil it in 6 liters of water. When the water boils, add the sliced ​​vegetables and finely chopped onion. After 30 minutes, add the finely chopped cabbage and thyme. Let it boil and when the meat is cooked we make the rantas.

Heat 2-3 tablespoons of oil and add 1 tablespoon of flour. Stir to dissolve and then add 1 tablespoon of paprika. Stir until it changes color a little then gradually add the milk, stirring constantly. We work on low heat. Pour the mixture into the soup and add the broth.
